Privacy policy
Acorn Hand Therapy Institute ("Acorn", "we", "us") operates this website and its video library. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details. Your email address and a password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider) when you create an account.
- Purchases. Which membership or lessons you bought, when, and their status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Learning progress. Which lessons you have watched and how far, so you can resume where you left off.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type and request logs, kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To deliver the lessons you have paid for and remember your progress.
- To answer support requests you send us.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized sharing of course content.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in forms from abuse. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Service providers
We rely on a few providers to run the service, each bound by their own privacy commitments: Supabase (authentication and database), Cloudflare (hosting and video storage) and our payment processor (checkout). They process data only to provide those services to us.
Retention
We keep your account and purchase records for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing acornHTI@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This service is intended for adult students and healthcare professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
