Matthew W. Oakes, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Founder, Acorn Hand Therapy Institute · Senior Staff Hand & Occupational Therapist, Corewell Health · Adjunct Faculty, Occupational Therapy Program, Western Michigan University · Certified Hand Therapist (HTCC), 2006

Over a career spent learning from talented hand surgeons and experienced therapists, I've been able to experiment with splint designs, materials and techniques that get real results. These videos share some of those tricks of the trade with students and therapists who may not otherwise have access to solid training.

Questions before you start

The short version of everything above, in one place.

Who teaches these videos?

Matthew W. Oakes, MS, OTR/L, CHT — a Certified Hand Therapist and senior staff hand/occupational therapist at Corewell Health, and adjunct faculty in the Occupational Therapy Program at Western Michigan University.

What do I get with the free lessons?

Two full lessons, produced identically to everything else in the library, free and with no account required — so you can judge the teaching before you buy.

How long does a membership last?

Six months from the day you pay, as a single one-time payment — no subscription and nothing to cancel. When it ends you can simply buy another six months.

What's the difference between Student and Professional?

Both include the full technique library for six months. Student is priced for enrolled OT, PT and medical students; Professional is for working clinicians and includes new videos as they are released.

Can I buy just one video?

Yes. Every lesson in the library can be bought on its own and stays available in your account for as long as you like.
